Iranian actress and ifilm series star Mehraveh Sharifinia has been honored in Greek Film Archive at a special screening of her film.
The renowned actress who grabbed the best actress title at the 2017 Bridges International Film Festival in Greece for her appearance in Ghazaleh Soltani’s ‘Wander about Me’ was granted a trophy as well as a certificate at the Athens-based organization.
Born in 1981, Mehraveh Sharifinia made her film debut at the age of eight in Mohammad Reza Honarmand’s 'Doll Thief' (1989).
She has also acted in series such as 'Imam Ali (PBUH)' (1995), 'Day of Regret' (2008), 'The Chef' (2009), 'Heart of Ice' (2010), 'Goodbye Child' (2012), and 'Kimiya' (2015).
Sharifinia has won the Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role from the Film Critics & Writers Association for 'There’s Nothing Going on Behind the Door' in 2010 and Award for Best Actress in TV series for 'Goodbye Child’ from Image World Celebration in 2014.
Bridges International Film Festival was established in 2008 with previous edition of the event held in October 2017.
